Settlers Cabin Park

Located between the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport and Pittsburgh, this large 1,589–acre park is home to the most heavily used of the county's three wave pools. An impressive diving platform adds to the attraction. Archaeologists from Carnegie Museum of Natural History helped identify the origins of the 1780 log cabin that gives the park its name, and the themes of the 11 groves and shelters pay homage to Native American tribes. Settlers Cabin is also the home of the Pittsburgh Botanical Garden, an ambitious development of 450 acres into a natural and national treasure highlighting the beauty of the area’s flora and fauna.
