Inspired by the design of airplanes, North Light appears to be light as a feather. The sculpture was added to the Hartwood Acres collection in 2017 following a donation by Anne Lewis and the Oxford Development Company. The piece was formerly in downtown Pittsburgh in front of One Oxford Centre since its creation in 1982.
