Ron Bennett

(1942-2007)

Cloudt, 1982

weathering steel

Bennett expresses his interest in the cube as the most nearly perfect geometric form man can make. Cloudt stands in a setting which clearly marks its contrast with the organic shapes in nature. Bennett made Pittsburgh his home in 1975 when he accepted a teaching position at Carnegie Mellon University. He also has a sculpture located at the entrance of the Pittsburgh international Airport.
