OVERVIEW
A meaningful way to improve your parks with a lasting impact is to donate a bench. Donors can choose to honor a friend of family member, celebrate a special occasion, or express gratitude. Benches can also be donated by a large group of individuals making smaller contributions to make up the total cost of the bench together.
There are three models of comfortable, well-designed and durable benches that are available to choose from. The Parks Foundation staff works with you to choose a location for the bench. The donation amount for a bench reflects the actual cost of the bench and installation. The Parks Foundation does not make a profit from the Bench Program; your entire gift goes to making the bench possible. Because installation is by a Parks Foundation hired contractor, timing can vary and may take several months depending on their schedule. After installation the benches become the property of Allegheny County to own and maintain. We appreciate your patience as we work to ensure benches are installed with care and built to last.

This program has raised over $400,000 in park enhancements by providing peaceful and beautiful benches and surrounding landscapes for all to enjoy.
