OVERVIEW
Based on recommendations from Settlers Cabin Park’s Ecological Assessment and Action Plan, a riparian planting was installed near an area of the park known as the beaver pond. This project planted 170 trees, 300 live stakes and 10 pounds of wetland pollinator seeds in early April of 2024. These plantings will support the riparian zone to help reduce stormwater runoff, improve streambank stabilization and improve water quality.
