South Park Fairgrounds Oval Improvements

On January 30, 2013 at the Home Economics Building in South Park, over 50 people participated in the public meeting to provife input on design options for Oval Improvement Project. The improvements included in the project scope were identified in the Fairgrounds Master Plan. The Oval Improvement Project design is being finalized and construction will begin in 2013 and completed by spring of 2014.

In 2010, the community participated in a planning process on the re-purposing of the County Fairgrounds area. With a grant from the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources and Allegheny County for this project, the Parks Foundation and the County are addressing the top recommendations.
