Meet Our New Board Members
February 8, 2016
The Allegheny County Parks Foundation welcomed two new board members recently. Todd Owens, Co-Founder and Principal of Nonprofit Talent, the region’s executive search and counseling agency to the nonprofit community, spends as much time outdoors as he can. He brings a wealth of experience to this position, having earned a Master of Science degree in recreation, park and tourism administration.
Jonathan Kersting, vice president of communications and media at the Pittsburgh Technology Council, has also joined the board. He oversees the publication of TEQ and Made in PA magazines, the Council’s web/social media channels and marketing activities, and is a host of TechVIBE Radio on KDKA. Jonathan is an avid road and mountain biker and believes that our region’s outdoor spaces and recreational opportunities help to attract and retain top talent in our tech sector.
The Allegheny County Parks Foundation, headed by Executive Director Caren Glotfelty, supports the preservation and restoration of the nine county parks to enhance the quality of life for county residents, promote healthy lifestyles, improve the environment and stimulate economic growth. In partnership with Allegheny County, we strive to enhance the park experience for all users.
